Baldwinsville Rescue 6 (RIT) was dispatched with Liverpool and Moyers Corners Engine 22 to a reported Structure Fire at the corner of Longbranch Rd and Cold Springs Rd in the Town of Salina just after Midnight Monday morning. Liverpool Car 1 (Frani) arrived moments after dispatch with heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the structure. Liverpool Engine 6 arrived first and entered the building through a door on side D. Liverpool Truck 2 set up on side A and deployed their aerial to the roof of the structure. Rescue 6's RIT crew checked the building for immediate hazards/exposures and secured the natural gas service to the building. Fire crews were able to knock down the fire very quickly and began an extensive overhaul process in the attic/cockloft portion of the building. The RIT crew was then asked to help with picking up hand lines and returned to service shortly after.
